Master in Oral Implantology

The Master’s degree course ‘Master of Oral Implantology’ (MOI) has been introduced at the J.W. Goethe University Frankfurt am Main in order to offer advanced academic training in the field of oral implantology to dentists from both Germany and abroad. The aim is to impart comprehensive and highly-specialised theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The aim is the independent performance of surgical procedures and prosthetic treatments on the patient and the development of critical, reflective, professional competence.

Master in Basic Dental Science (Molecular Genetics) MPhil

Research within Molecular Genetics is very diverse but overall, it aims to understand the biological molecular processes involved in oral and craniofacial development, function and disease. Areas of interest include identification of genes implicated in Mendelian, complex and somatic genetic diseases affecting orofacial structures and function, functional analysis of these genes and proteins they encode, development of molecular diagnostic tests, identification of biomarkers in head and neck cancer and translation of findings into clinical practice.
