Whether you are a lecturer in higher or further education, a tutor working in adult and community education, a vocational trainer, or are involved in managing education and training programmes, our Professional Development course will help you take your career to the next level.
You can study individual modules for continuing professional development (CPD), or work towards the PgCert, PgDip, or full Masters degree.
You will study part time online via the UHI virtual learning environment, which means you can fit your study around your busy teaching schedule.
The new PgCert Teaching in Higher Education (THE) is accredited by the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

You will study online via the UHI virtual learning environment (VLE), and through online discussion groups. You will have support from your tutors throughout your studies via email, telephone and Skype.

* Part time (unstructured: 6 years (maximum) @ 8-10 hours per week

Number of hours per week indicates the total number of hours you should dedicate to the course, which includes time spent in lectures and your own time spent on individual study and research.
