Curious about the processes involved in movement? Interested in how people move and how sporting performances can be improved? If so, the Masters programme in Human Movement Sciences is for you.
Running, writing, turning a page, tying your shoelaces We are constantly moving. But what exactly is movement? What precisely happens when you scratch your head? Or hit a tennis ball? Movement is the product of a complex biological system. Want to find out how that works? Curious about the processes involved in movement? Interested in how people learn to move, how sporting performances can be improved and why some working environments are better than others? Studying Human Movement Sciences means stopping to consider movement. Depending upon which specialization you choose, you investigate the biomedical, physiological or psychological processes which contribute to human movement. Of course, these are closely related. And not only do you learn about movement, you learn to understand it. A Masters degree in Human Movement Sciences means you are a qualified specialist in that field. And the career opportunities available to specialists with these qualifications are many and varied. Depending upon the choices you make during the course, you might find work as a researcher, tutor or consultant, but also as a exercise physiologist.
