Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences concentrates on the scientific aspects of integrating different areas of knowledge and on developing effective policies.
Medical science is developing at an ever increasing pace. This results in great improvements to medical care, yet it also gives rise to a wide range of complex social questions and dilemmas. Is the new whooping-cough vaccine better than the old one? Which prescription drugs should insurance companies reimburse? Is genetically modified food bad for you? Does society want cloned animals, or even 'designer babies'? Providing the best possible answers to these questions calls for synergy between several disciplines and actors in society, from the government, industry and social institutions to consumers and patients. The Master's in Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health and Life Sciences anticipates these needs: it offers the ideal opportunity to specialize in this fascinating area where a whole range of disciplines meet. As well as building on the scientific background you acquired during your Bachelor's studies, you will broaden your knowledge and skills in disciplines such as Policy studies, Sociology, Management studies, and Science, Technology and Society studies.
