Your goal is to understand the biological basis of how we perceive, act, learn, remember, think and experience emotion. The Master's programme Neurosciences expands your horizon.

The brain is the most complex organ in the human body. Recent, intensive scientific research has taught us an enormous amount about how it functions and what can go wrong. Each year over two million people suffer from a disease or condition that affects the brain. In the two-year Master's programme in Neurosciences you will help expand the horizons of our knowledge. You wish to understand how a variety of neurological and psychiatric diseases disrupt the regulation of our mental processes. You help to develop strategies for treating and possibly even preventing these afflictions. The Master's in Neurosciences is a two-year, full-time programme. The teaching comprises lectures, research seminars, workgroups, demontrations, lab visits and practicals. You must be highly motivated, keen to learn and hard-working. We expect active participation, a swift understanding of scientific texts (the vast majority of which are written in English), a critical disposition and a natural talent for giving presentations and writing reports.
