Do you want to discover the differences between how people in the West read the Bible compared to people in other parts of the world? Then Contextual and Cross-Cultural Theology is your programme.
The aim of this Master's programme is to make you aware of the importance of context and culture in understanding Scripture and tradition. And of the crucial role these elements play in the construction of theology and faith. The Master's programme in Contextual and Cross Cultural Theology enables you to explore a wide range of contemporary issues: interfaith dialogue, the role of religion in multicultural societies, the effects of globalization and the differences between rich and poor. It will equip you to perform competently in your role as theologian in an era marked by globalization, cultural and religious conflicts, new fundamentalisms, religious movements and the resulting cross-border problems.
