The Master Shipping and Transport program offers you a combination of extensive knowledge and skills training, enabling you to fulfil management positions in the shipping and transport industry. As a participant of the program you will be exposed to a multidisciplinaryview on maritime, port, transport and logistics issues and to complex management problems.
The full-time Master program is offered at two locations in the world; in Rotterdam, The Netherlands (starting in September) and in Gwangyang, South-Korea (starting in March)!

After completion of the Master Shipping and Transport, you will have gained the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill management positions in the shipping and transport industry. You will be able to solve complicated management issues independently. Moreover, you will have a multidisciplinary view on maritime, transport and logistic issues and all its aspects.
Throughout the program you will need to apply your knowledge and skills on a strategical level on a variety of subjects such as:
* Means of transport and principles of all inbound and outbound maritime port modalities;
* Cross-functional and interdisciplinary cooperation between all actors in the maritime industry during planning, design and operational processes; International maritime politics;
* Different organisational perspectives on strategy, crewing and manning (human resources management) fleet and cargo operations, shipping finance and accounting, management, policies;
* Managing implications in social and environmental welfare. The curriculum is specifically tailored to subjects, issues and insights on maritime management. The courses consist of lectures, workshops, case-studies and excursions.
The program leads to the Degree of Master (M) in Shipping and Transport.
The Master program consists of 21 courses with a combined study load of 60 credits and a thesis assignment with a study load of 21 credits. This credit system is derived from the standardised system (ECTS) for measuring study load as a way to facilitate international mobility. One ECTS credit represents 28 hours of full-time study, 60 credits represent one full-time year of study.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
