Communication between different cultures in different languages has become increasingly important. Interaction between people has become more internationally oriented and therefore multicultural and in multilingual.
In the English Master´s specialisation Intercultural Communication you will learn more about the influences of internationalisation and multiculturalism on language and interaction. You will study this in a wide range of social contexts. You will explore how language, culture and identity are linked and how these influence each other and you will examine how people behave and interact with each other in a multicultural society. You will study intercultural communication in institutions and organisations such as schools, government and business settings and answer questions such as: How do people from different cultural, ethnical and national backgrounds collaborate, and how can you effectively manage culturally different teams? You will also acquire knowledge about how governments create policies concerning multilingual and multicultural aspects of societies.
