The School of Economics, Finance and Management aims to provide excellence in teaching and learning within a stimulating research environment. This programme aims to take graduate students with only limited knowledge of economics, accounting and/or finance and to provide them with an understanding of the key concepts and current issues in the field.
Graduates should be in a position to read and assess the current literature in the main fields of economics, accounting and finance and form independent, informed judgements about it. Students should be able to plan and embark on a programme of independent research (under appropriate supervision) undertaking a thorough literature review in a prescribed topic area and/or analysing economic, accounting or financial data and relating the results to theory.
