This is a three-year, part-time degree which aims to develop knowledge and understanding of the theoretical concepts of management at the strategic level. It is aimed at working managers and professionals who aspire to senior management and leadership positions. It provides opportunities for the acquisition of knowledge and intellectual skills essential for the modern senior manager in commercial, not-for-profit and public sector organisations.
What makes the programme distinctive is that:
* subject matter is learned from a strategic perspective;
* it develops your ability to synthesise and integrate knowledge and skills learned on the units with experience at work, so that each reinforces the other;
* there is a thorough grounding in strategy and strategic management;
* it focuses on developing critical thinking, analytical skills and reflective practice;
* it offers a wide range of optional units so that you can tailor the degree to suit your own professional and personal objectives.
All teaching is delivered at weekends, minimising the disruption to the working week.

Dissertation
The dissertation involves an extended piece of work in which students demonstrate they can undertake an original research study that includes a review of current literature related to the topic and a field study with analysis of findings from which conclusions are drawn and recommendations are made. It is an opportunity for you to apply your studies on the programme to a work-related topic.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

Normally a good Honours degree (or international equivalent) or an approved professional qualification, and approximately five years' relevant work experience, including significant managerial responsibility. Admission to the programme will involve an interview and candidates may be asked to complete an assessed task.
