This competition does not only affect clients and customers, but also recruitment and qualified personnel retention. A decisive factor for success is how companies create and protect know-how and how they then turn it into marketable products.

Given the backround of an accelerating integration of global businesses, MCI in co-operation with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and the University of Innsbruck´s Law School is offering a unique Executive Master´s program. The LL.M. International Business & Tax Law can be attended part-time, leads to the internationally recognized degree of a Master of Laws and is split evenly between the locations of Innsbruck and Frankfurt / Main. It holds a dual-degree accreditation by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).

Recognized experts both from science and practice, its proximity to businesses, the usage of case studies and the international network of renowned academic institutions all vouch for the quality and acceptance of this Master´s program which is setting standards in the German speaking world.

Contents

The didactics of the LL.M. program is based on a tried concept adapted to the specific needs of decision makers active in their profession. The scheduling of the seminar modules (usually from Wednesday / Thursday / Friday each time until Saturday) facilitates the systematic implementation of contents during the ensuing applica tion phases.

The contents and methodology of the LL.M. program are aimed at making use of the professional expert ise and personal experience of the participants as valuable potential through a mutual exchange of experiences, and at providing the students with ongoing critical feedback and thereby with sustainable support in the learning and implementation process. Accordingly, the repetitive `rattling off´ of mechanisti cally acquired knowledge is to be avoided wherever possible; instead the focus is on promoting the students´ ability to handle concrete professional problems in a responsible manner, develop creative solutions and resolutely implement agreed measures. The realization of these objectives is furthered by:

* group work and case studies complemented by relevant discussions and presentations;
* `reviews´ including concrete practical questions and problems facilitating the consideration of the acquired know-how in a practical context;
* a scientifically profound Master´s thesis (`Comprehensive Case Study´).

In individual cases modules and exams may also be conducted in English. The international recognition of the students´ academic achievement is ensured by ECTS.
