The programme aims to promote advanced training for social-work staff involved in delivering, developing and managing Social Work Services in the Criminal Justice System.
The programme is intended for experienced staff in social work and social-care agencies providing services to the Criminal Justice System.
Learning Outcomes You will develop :
* an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and policies;
* knowledge and understanding of key criminological concepts;
* a critical awareness of theoretical models and methods associated with effective practice;
* the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake work related research;
* skills and expertise in your chosen area of practice.
You will also develop an up-to-date knowledge of theoretical models, methods, policies and law in both the adult and juvenile criminal justice sectors
How You Will Be Taught This is a two year, part-time programme of study, comprising 4 taught modules.
Each module has 2 pieces of assessed academic work which will draw on your practice.
A research based dissertation of 15,000 words will be submitted at the end of the programme.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA good first degree in an appropriate subject, equivalent to a UK 2:1, plus other restrictions.

* TOEFL 580 (with 55 in each section and 4.0 in TWE)
* TOEFL 237 in CBT (with 21 in each section)
* TOEFL-iBT 92 (with at least 20 in each section)
