The graduate certificate and diploma introduce the key disciplines relevant to this career choice in a structured programme supported by English language tuition at a high level.
Students who successfully complete part of the course may be awarded a postgraduate certificate (phases1 and 2) or postgraduate diploma (phases 1,2 and 3).

Course participants acquire a degree of academic and professional understanding that enables them to contribute positively to new employment. Graduates become capital markets professionals in financial institutions, regulatory agencies or consultancies.
Opportunities are also available to progress to MPhil and PhD research degrees.
Areas of study
The core Capital Markets modules provide a firm grounding in the theory and practice of the operations of capital markets, including the pricing, valuation and risk management of capital market instruments, as well as an economic analysis of the relationships between the institutions that comprise the financial system. The Quantitative Methods in Finance module supports the other modules, and introduces the advanced quantitative techniques increasingly used by practitioners.
