Location of University of Brighton
International Management is an innovative alternative to the traditional MBA that offers the highest level taught masters in international management. The course includes two semesters based in Brighton followed by three months at a top business school in, for example, France, Italy, Germany or the USA.
There is also an option to progress with advanced standing to a second semester of studies in another country leading to an MBA awarded by a USA university, or a second masters awarded by a top business school in France. This course will not only internationalise your knowledge and experience, but provide you with one or more international masters qualifications.
Unique course design
- Accelerated 12 months Brighton-based studies followed by three or more months of international studies in another country.
- Opportunities to shift to a related masters award during the course (Management, Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Public Services or Innovation).

Contents
Course structure
The taught course at Brighton runs from the end of September to early June. There are normally 14-18 hours of classes each week, plus 25-30 hours of group project work, guided and independent study. Special intensive workshops on topics such as consultancy skills, management careers and research methods take place during the year, and there is a one-week, tutor-led study visit to mainland Europe in January or February. During the summer, work continues on the supervised management project report. International studies begin in August or September, depending upon the calendar of the host institution. International studies normally end by early or mid-December, which is also the normal time by which the final project reports are submitted.
Areas of study
In addition to knowledge of the major management functions such as international marketing, accounting, organisational behaviour and international strategy, the course includes transferable skills of management such as international leadership, international consultancy and cross-cultural negotiation.

You should have a good honours degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. A bachelors degree based on any subject will be considered.
You do not require prior work experience as opportunities for this are provided in conjunction with the course. GMAT is not required, but a good score will support your application.
Non-native English speakers must have a language proficiency that is equivalent to IELTS grade of 6.5 overall with 6 in the written test. International students should read the university´s guidelines on obtaining an Entry Clearance visa for UK study.
