The MBA is the most widely recognised management qualification in the world. It enables practising and potential managers and business professionals worldwide to develop themselves and their organisations.

Brighton Business School offers two full-time and two part-time MBA degrees.

Contents

Course structure
The degree programme comprises an induction followed by three phases of study. Phase 1 provides a sound understanding of business and management, as well as developing analytical and critical capability. Phase 2 introduces the disciplines which underpin strategic thinking in organisations, and develops participants' skills as organisational analysts and consultants. Phase 3 focuses on developing strategic capability.

Phase 3 includes an elective study allowing participants to explore a topic of particular interest. Recent examples have included employment law, consultancy, e-business, supply chain management, international marketing and entrepreneurship.

Study is supported by participation in an action-learning set. The university has an international reputation as a centre for excellence in action learning.

Requirements

The standard entry qualifications are a first degree or professional qualification equivalent to a degree, plus at least three years relevant management or appropriate professional work experience.

Applications will also be considered from managers with at least five years experience who do not hold a degree or equivalent qualification.

The recommended minimum age for entry to the MBA is 23.

For non-native speakers of English: English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS - minimum 6.5 overall with 6 in the written test.
