This course offers distance-learning training by which an initial, relevant qualification may be supplemented to satisfy EU requirements for Qualified Person Status (QPS).

Candidates seeking Qualified Person Status must have relevant practical experience additional to this course and must arrange an oral examination with the relevant professional body.

Contents

Course structure
Participants are required to study three modules and attend three one-week residential blocks per year. Each module requires 100 hours of formal study and practical work, plus an equivalent time for guided study. The MSc element comprises a dissertation (600 hours) carried out at a participant's industrial base.

Requirements

For non-native speakers of English: 6.5 overall and 6 in writing.

Degree and/or experience: Degree in pharmacy, medicine, veterinary medicine, chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, technology, biology. Professional qualifications/experience. Equivalent qualification acceptable for membership of appropriate professional body.
