Master´s Programme in International Business

The graduates of the Master´s Programme in International Business will possess profound knowledge of international business environment with a special focus on the Central and Eastern European markets. They will be capable of understanding the rules of running business on international markets and creating sustainable competitive advantage. The graduates will be well prepared to hold managerial positions in international companies especially those conducting business in Central and Eastern Europe. Doing the Master´s Programme in International Business students will be able to specialise in: 1. International Business Management 2. Business in Central and Eastern Europe. The Master´s Programme in International Business is directed to both Polish and international students holding bachelor´s degree or higher with the main focus on the students coming form Central and Eastern Europe as well as students of Polish origin from other regions.


Contents

Structure of the Master´s Programme in International Business The structure of the programme includes four types of courses: core courses (obligatory for every Master´s Programme), major courses (obligatory for Master´s Programme in International Business), minor and elective courses.

Core courses stand for 9 ECTS points, major courses for 58 ECTS points and elective courses for 30 ECTS points, including courses related to International Business for 15 ECTS. Obligatory 4-week company internship equals to 3 ECTS points. Master´s seminar is 20 ECTS points. The whole programme comprises of 120 ECTS points. Foreign language tutorial is not included in the above structure as all the courses will be taught in English. For this reason students will not receive additional points for taking courses in a foreign language.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.

Required documents

  1. A printed, filled in and signed electronic application form including a photograph submitted in the electronic form.
  2. original or its official copy or a photocopy certified by a notary public of the secondary school-leaving examination certificate under the new examination system (new matura) or secondary school-leaving examination certificate under the old examination system [old matura], or IB (International Baccalaureate) diploma issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization having its seat in Geneva - International Baccalaureate Diploma, or EB (European Baccalaureate) diploma issued by the European Schools pursuant to the Luxembourg Convention defining the Statute of the European Schools of 21st June 1994 or a school-leaving examination certificate obtained abroad. Secondary school-leaving examination certificates obtained abroad should be legalized (meaning apostille or other form of legalization) or certified as equivalent to a Polish secondary school-leaving examination certificate in accordance with nostrification regulations;
  3. a higher education diploma at the Bachelor´s level or higher or its official copy or a photocopy certified by a notary public. A diploma obtained abroad should be legalized or endorsed with an apostille, or acknowledged as equivalent to a Polish diploma in accordance with nostrification regulations or international agreements. In case of submitting a foreign diploma according to Polish regulations it needs to be officially recognized in Poland by the process of nostrification unless bilateral agreements state differently. The candidate should apply to the Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics for exemption of his/her diploma from nostrification in order to undertake second-degree studies at the Warsaw School of Economics.   4. A document confirming the command of English.
  5. A certified photocopy of an ID document.
  6. Two student card type photographs.
  7. A doctor´s certificate of no contraindications to study.
  8. Receipt of payment of a non-returnable admission fee to the bank account of the Warsaw School of Economics.

The documents mentioned above shall be submitted to the secretariat of the enrolment commission in files, personally, through a proxy or registered mail with delivery confirmation, provided that they reach the WSE by the end of the last day for submitting documents specified in the enrolment schedule.
