This high-level postgraduate programme offers qualified students the opportunity to acquire an advanced knowledge of public international law, which can be applied in a professional context.

The one-year programme is ideally located in The Hague, the home of international courts and tribunals. It will provide you with in-depth knowledge of the foundations of public international law and familiarise you with the current debates in the field. You will obtain skills that will enable you to thoroughly analyse and interpret legal sources, literature and cases, to research and formulate an independent opinion on international legal questions, to actively participate in academic debate, and to apply this advanced academic knowledge in a professional context. The programme is designed for law graduates or professionals in possession of a full law degree (offering access to legal practice), with sufficient knowledge of public international law, and for those who hold an equivalent degree and/or have sufficient professional experience in the field.
