Location of University of Geneva

Instruction takes the form of courses, seminars, practical work and fieldwork (archaeological digs). Specific training in prehistory is offered (theoretical archaeology, ethnoarchaeology, European neolithic, metal age in europe/European protohistory, African prehistory) and is supplemented with courses at the Faculty of Arts as well as by a sizeable individual assignment lasting a year (master"s thesis).

Requirements

Candidates to the programme leading to a Master of Science in Prehistoric Archaeology must hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialty in Prehistory (granted by the Faculty), a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Bachelor of Science in Archaeology, or a degree considered equivalent.

Depending on the type of Bachelor's degree held, a complementary minimum of 12 ECTS may be required (co-requisite).
