At Leeds Business School we aim to provide a friendly and supportive teaching environment for all our students. We offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses.

This course enables you to study business in an international context as part of an international cohort, which includes students from many countries including China, India, Norway and the European Union.

You will develop the essential business skills required by employers such as communication and effective teamwork. You will also learn about the dynamics of multi-national teams and organisations, the differing economic environments of the globe, world trade and foreign direct investment.

On completion of this course, you will be highly desirable candidates for a wide range of positions in large multi-national companies in any sector of industry as well as small businesses, operating in an international environment.

This course will enhance your opportunities for employment by providing you with a curriculum covering the conceptual and practical demands of international business. The MA International Business is ideal for those wishing to enhance their chances of gaining employment with an organisation trading on a global scale.

* Corporate Strategy;
* Cross Cultural Human Resource Management;
* Strategic Management of International Enterprises;
* International Environments of Business.

* International Marketing;
* International Corporate Finance;
* and International Trade Law.

Teaching/LearningThe programme employs a variety of teaching and learning strategies, including lectures, seminars and group discussion. It utilises the opportunities offered by the multinational and multicultural nature of its intake for students to work in international teams.AssessmentAssessment methods include examinations, assignments, individual and group presentations and dissertation.

Requirements

Applicants should normally have a UK first degree or equivalent. Full recognition is given to appropriate experiential learning. IELTS 6.0 is required for those applicants for whom English is not their first language.

International students will need to meet the University's English Language requirement which is IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.0, or equivalent.

We are firmly committed to widening participation and lifelong learning. Our entry requirements are flexible, so if you don't have the qualifications required, but do have the relevant experience and commitment to suceed, you may be considered for a place on your chosen course.
