At Leeds Business School we aim to provide a friendly and supportive teaching environment for all our students. We offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses.

The MSc Managament is primarily aimed at the large number of graduates with a non-business degree background who wish to take up a career in business. If you wish to develop your career in general management, this course can help you develop the skills you will need to progress as an effective manager.

You will acquire the competence and confidence to address the demands placed upon managers, providing you with a recognised qualification and a platform on which to progress in your chosen field.

Option modules:

You will choose from either:

a) four core modules from the list above plus one optional module chosen from a range across Leeds Business School's postgraduate scheme

Or

b) five core modules from the list above

You will also be required to complete a Research Methods module and a 15,000 - 18,000 word dissertation and a Personal Development Plan module.

Typically each module will consist of a mix of lectures, tutorials, group and individual activities, workshops and case study analysis. Where possible students will be given opportunities to relate the material covered. The students themselves are an important resource for the route and will be encouraged to share their experience and knowledge. Simulations and presentations will help develop skills of group working, problem solving and communicating.

Assessment on the MSc Management reflects the wide variety of learning methods used in the various core and option modules offered within the Scheme. This includes group individual course work, group presentations and examinations.

Requirements

Applicants should have a first degree or professional qualification. However, highly motivated students without a degree or professional qualifications, but with a minimum of two years professional experience, will also be considered.

International students will need to meet the University's English Language requirement which is IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.0, or equivalent.
