Location of Leeds Metropolitan University

The MA International Trade & Finance is a truly international course, as it is offered both in Leeds and in Hangzhou, China, in partnership with Zhejiang University of Technology.

You could study all the course in one location or opt to take one semester in each of the alternate institutions. The common structure of the course in China and the UK is designed to meet the needs of the growing global market in international trade and finance.

Core modules include:

* Economics of International Trade
* Corporate Finance
* International Marketing
* International Trade: Law, Institutions, Conventions, Practice and Dispute Resolution
* Trade Development and Growth
* Management of International Business Finance.

Option modules:

Students studying in Leeds can select from a wide range of postgraduate modules (options will be constrained in Hangzhou). Examples of options you could choose are:

* Corporate Strategy
* Cross Cultural Human Resource Management
* International Business and Finance.
* Dissertation

Students will complete a 15,000 - 18,000 words disseration, applying the knowledge and skills acquired on the course to the world of international trade and finance. A Research Methods module and a personal supervisor will support you in completing the dissertation. You will also take a Personal Development Plan module.

Requirements

* Applicants are normally expected to have a UK first degree or equivalent, however a HE Diploma plus work experience may in some cases be acceptable.
* Students should have a basic knowledge of Economics and Accounting gained through their first degree or equivalent.
* English language to IELTS 6.0 or equivalent is required.
* International students will need to meet the University's English Language requirement which is IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.0, or equivalent.
