The MBA European Management programme offers you a course of studies directly concerned with the core issues for companies working in a European business environment.
On this programme, you will be analysing the political, legal, cultural and economic environment of European businesses, evaluating their markets in terms of procurement, finance and sales and drafting new strategies for international competition.
Building on your minimum of two years of work experience and a first degree most probably not in economics or business administration, you will be developing and honing your specialist, analytical, and personal competences in an intensive exchange of experience with both your fellow MBA classmates and your lecturers, all of whom have a strong background in "real-world" business life, helping you acquire a set of skills enabling you to effectively take on executive management tasks.
This postgraduate programme is taught in English in two dynamic European capitals - Berlin and London.
The programme is divided into three stages. The first stage focuses on providing students with the basic management skills. The second stage concentrates on international issues and gives students the opportunity to focus on special areas through electives. Finally, in the third stage students apply the methods learnt in a company project.
In the international business world an MBA is not only expected to know theory and how to apply management techniques. Increasing importance is being placed on excellent social competences as well. The two-day seminars within the 'Personal Skills Development' and "Intercultural Skills Development" programme are designed to develop these skills along with everyday skills required in management.

Since the introduction of the Bachelor and Master degrees, the programmes have been regularly subject to the accreditation procedures (initial accreditation and re-accreditation) required under the statutory provisions in the Framework Act for Higher Education (Hochschulrahmengesetz - HRG). This accreditation process adds qualitative evaluation to the previous requirement of state certification for degree programmes. Accreditation is designed to provide a guarantee of professional and substantive standards by evaluating such factors as programme design, ease of study ('studyability'), quality of teaching and professional relevance. The requirements for accrediting new study programmes include a modular structure and a Credit Points system that reflects the students' actual workload. The accreditation process is carried out by external accrediting agencies.
The Berlin School of Economics and Law was quick to introduce external accreditation for its degree programmes. As a result, nearly all the University's programmes have been successfully awarded the initial accreditation stamp.
