Location of University "Mediterranean" Podgorica
The Faculty of Tourism "Montenegro Tourism School" was founded in 2004 in Bar as the first private institution of higher-education in Montenegro. The students can get the basic academic diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management. They can also continue their studies by enrolling the 4th Year (the specialist studies) and/or 5th Year (Master studies) where we offer two programs :
o Tourism Management and
o Hospitality Management.
PhD studies in Tourism Management started in the 2008/2009 academic year and they last for three years.
Educational system consists of - Workshops and Case Studies. There is a constant interaction between students and lecturers. During the studies students are provided with: mentor work, guest international and domestic lecturers, visits to hotels and other tourism companies, study travels to many places of tourist interest for Montenegro, internships locally and abroad. Key areas studied at the Faculty are:
o Tourism and Hospitality Management
o Tourism and Hotel Marketing
o Tourist Agencies, Tour Operators and Hotel companies Management
o Tourist destinations
o Sustainable development
o Strategic Management
o Information technologies in tourism and hotel industry
o Contemporary trends in tourism.

1ST SEMESTER
TOURIST POLICY AND DEVELOPMENT (classes per week) 3+2 8ECTS
SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN MONTENEGRIN TOURISM (classes per week) 2+2 7 ECTS
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT IN HOTELAND TOURISM INDUSTRY (classes per week) 3+2 8 ECTS
ELECTIVE SUBJECT (classes per week) 2+2 7 ECTS
Small and Medium Business Management in Tourism
E-Business in Tourism
Nautical Management
Communication Cycles in Tourism and Culture
2ND SEMESTER
MA THESIS 30 ECTS
(Application and selection of the thesis, 5 ECTS, evaluation and research work 10 ECTS, defense and work assessment 15 ECTS)
Requirements
o Bachelor Diploma
o Certificate of the Exams Passed
o Birth Certificate
o Application form (you will receive the application form at the faculty).
* If a student is enroling on the 5th year of studies or is entering 2 year postgraduate course - the student is obliged to complete a Project Work, insted of a specialist thesis, for which maximum 15 ECTS can be won.
