Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural and Sustainable Business Management
As business aligns itself with the needs and aims of contemporary society, increasing corporate social responsibility is leading to new and exciting career possibilities for those knowledgeable about these issues, and who have been trained to manage in this new environment. Although there is mounting evidence that business is being called upon to engage as partners and agents in positive change, preparing future leaders to assume responsibilities of such global importance requires the invention of new academic programs. The Master´s in Cross-Cultural and Sustainable Business Management is designed to respond to these needs by focusing on:
Interdisciplinary study,
The effect of sustainability issues on international business operations, Cross-cultural management, Corporate social responsibility, International business and management International strategy, and Leadership. The program provides a balanced intellectual, theoretical, professional, and practical preparation in order to form a new generation of international managers for the increasingly interrelated global business environment requiring unprecedented active participation by the private sector in socioeconomic development.
Program Goals
The goals of the Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural and Sustainable Business Management are:
* To provide students with theoretical and practical core courses in International Business and Management fields;
* To prepare students for the challenges of the private sector in the 21st century, helping students understand the needs, requirements, and processes of performing across cultures as well as adapting an organization from `take-make-waste´ to `regenerative circular´ behavior;
* To increase students´ marketability by providing cutting-edge courses on Global Sustainable Business and Global Cross-Cultural Management; and
* To prepare students for the real business world by including professional experience.
Learning GoalsGraduates of this program will:
* Be able to perform across cultures, and manage an organization´s footprint to actively participate in creating and maintaining a sustainable socioeconomic and natural environment;
* Acquire an understanding of ethical issues and the responsibilities of organizations toward a broad range of stakeholders;
* Understand business and management within a global context; and
* Understand how to be successful working across cultures while participating in the transformation of a `take-make-waste´ economy to a `regenerating circular economy.

* Undergraduate degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or equivalent.
* Original, official transcripts from all universities and colleges attended.
* English proficiency test results, for applicants with a mother-tongue other than English (TOEFL, IELTS or TOEIC). Please note: results must be less than TWO years old. AUP´s CEEB code is 0866. (Note that the Admissions Committee reserves the right to request scores from any applicant.)
* Candidate´s Application Form. 2 letters of recommendation (academic and/or professional).
* Statement of Purpose: Please describe in English in approximately 500 words, what motivates you to study Cross-Cultural and Sustainable Business Management at the graduate level, what attracted you to this program, and what, from your own academic and/or professional experience, you can bring to the program.
* CV/Resumé - describing at least the past five years of your university and/or employment history, and any community, professional, or college extracurricular activities. Please include recognitions of achievement you have received.
* GMAT test scores are required. Please note: results must be less than TWO years old. AUP´s CEEB code is 0866. The EUR75 application fee (non-refundable) must accompany the application.
