Location of Kaunas University of Technology

The MSc programme of Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary programme which integrates mechanical engineering, electricity, and engineering management theoretical knowledge therefore a graduate is competent in applying adaptive systems and while using them to create new materials and separate elements.

The MSc programme is a 2-year programme (4 semesters) equivalent to 120 ECTS credits. The programme is taught in English and incorporates an international dimension in all subjects.

Academic Focus

The Master´s Programme in Mechatronics is aimed to introduce profound knowledge of the mechatronics theory and the main methods of research in order to be able to perform applied research conformity in mechatronic system, simulate exploitation properties of mechatronic systems, etc.

Career Opportunities

The graduates are able to use methods of systematical analysis, to model and project production systems, manage the process of management mechatronic systems and to optimise their parameters.

After graduating this programme can perform analytical, research, consultancy and managerial work with mechatronic systems, consult, analyse and expert, or access to PhD studies.


Contents

Students are provided with advanced study of practical and theoretical principles in mechatronics, adaptive systems; they analyse and design mechatronic systems and optimise their parameters.

The main study modules are: engineering project management, Adaptive mechatronic systems, Dynamics of mechatronic systems, Real time systems, Computer aided control of technological equipment, Research work, Master´s thesis.

Requirements

Programme Prerequisites

A minimum of a three year University bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or equivalent.

Admissions are made on the basis of qualification, references and English language skills.
