The MSc programme of Textile Engineering deals with the application of scientific and engineering principles to the design and control of all aspects of fiber, textile, and machinery. These include all kinds of textile materials from traditional textile till technical and nanotextile, interaction of materials with machines, design and investigation of properties of various kinds of textiles.
Career Opportunities
After graduating this programme students are able to cumulate, systematise and analyse tendency of industry and market development, qualified investigate technological processes, design textile products and new technologies.
The graduates can work as researchers, experts or inspectors in research or educational institutions as well as in production and commercial companies, dealing with clothes and polymer products, or continue their studies for PhD degree.
Contents
The MSc programme is a 2-year programme (4 semesters) equivalent to 120 ECTS credits. The programme is taught in English and incorporates an international dimension in all subjects.
Academic Focus
The Master´s Programme in Textile Technology is aimed to provide state-of-the-art knowledge in textile materials (yarns, woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, non-woven fabrics, etc.), products, advanced technologies and equipment, textile products quality, design of textile materials and products, methods of designing of textile materials and products.
Programme Contents
Students are provided with advanced study of practical and theoretical principles in statistics, mechanics, measuring operations, management, environment and protection engineering as well as industrial and communicational technologies.
The main study modules are: Theory of textile experiments, Computer-Aided design of textiles, Complex structure yarns, Technical textile and technologies of manufacturing, Advanced and specialized textile processing-weaving, Advanced textile technologies and designing, Textile assortment and fashion, Textile products quality analysis, Dimensional and "Sandwich" knits, Mechanics of textile materials, Medical and protective textiles, Problems in textile finishing, Interior and exterior textiles, Marketing management, Research work, Master´s thesis.

Requirements
Programme Prerequisites
A minimum of a three year University bachelor´s degree in clothing/textile engineering, or equivalent.
Admissions are made on the basis of qualification, references and English language skills.
