Our exciting and topical MSc Plant Biotechnology builds on our successful MSc Biotechnology by offering graduates in biological sciences the opportunity to study biotechnology, as applied to the production of the essential new crops for food and fuel needed for our growing population. We include a large laboratory component allowing you to gain a range of research skills, while wider issues of sustainability and socio-economic aspects as they relate to the topic are discussed in our specialist modules.
This course provides you with the cutting edge skills and knowledge needed for jobs in commercial biotechnology companies and research positions in academia or with government scientific bodies. It also offers the opportunity for further study to PhD level.
