Are you interested in studying within our highly ranked Department and well respected Essex Business School? Our joint MSc Accounting and Financial Economics offers compulsory modules evenly split between both. Economics modules cover mathematical methods and the analysis of financial markets. Essex Business School modules include Management Accounting and Issues in Financial Reporting, so you gain in-depth knowledge of the use of accounting information in organisational control and decision making, plus the use of financial statements and the problems of measurement and disclosure.
Graduates will be well placed for success in decision making in the interface between economics and accounting. Key skills include analytical reasoning, mathematical methods and the evaluation of business accounts.
