MA Film Studies offers a unique opportunity, not only to explore film and video from analytic and aesthetic perspectives, but to apply this theoretical knowledge to a collective or personal video project. Our focus is mainly on alternative, low-budget cinemas but our core seminar also takes in fundamentals of film history and theory, including Hollywood. Modules are taught by our film specialists and by professional film/video makers.
Graduates will have a strong sense of independent, documentary and experimental film-making practices, and our course is intended to act as a bridge if you wish to pursue careers or further courses in film and video.
