Our LLM EU Law and Comparative Legal Studies provides you with an advanced conceptual understanding of the legal principles of European Community law, the EU, and the legal cultures and main legal system present in Europe and, when relevant to the subject, elsewhere. You will understand comparative law as a modern discipline in its own right, with its history, development and new challenges (globalisation, emergence of China, harmonisation of European law etc). You also undertake a comprehensive review of more specialised subjects, as well as general and specific approaches to comparative law.
Our LLM develops your critical, analytical and research skills, ensuring you are capable of working in the field of EU law as a lawyer, regulator, legal adviser or researcher with government or international and business organisations (including the EU administration), and as an academic.
