We have offered pre-registration nurse education since 2004, unlike many of the older, traditional nursing schools. This means that, by choosing to study nursing with us, you receive a fresh, contemporary and relevant nurse education programme; integrated into a University that is one of the the UK's top ten research universities.
We also educate pre-registration physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists and oral hygienists – to name a few – as well as providing on-going professional education for qualified health and social care staff. This means that you not only study alongside other health professionals learning with them, but you also get the opportunity to learn expert knowledge from them!
All of our Masters level pre-registration programmes are offered as accelerated programmes. This means you have the advantage of interprofessional learning (IPL), encouraging professionals to learn with and from each other – an understanding that helps to ensure our students have the expertise to respond adequately and effectively to the complexity of their service user needs, and ensures that care is safe, seamless and of a high standard.
