This course is a qualifying year for students who need further study before embarking on an MA. This course take a broad, engaging and advanced approach to sociology. Students are offered an excellent grounding in contemporary social theory and higher level social research skills. The course encourages the creative exploration of 'the sociological imagination' by, for example, looking at the intersection of social structures, historical forces, experiences and cultures. Students are able to develop and follow their own particular interests in sociology and connected issues.
