Why studying Informatics at Technische Universität München?
The Department of Informatics of Technische Universität München (TUM) is one of the biggest and most renowned Informatics departments in Germany. With more than 30 professors you can find a competent contact partner for any subject related to computer science.
Structure of the program and possible specializations
The English speaking program in Informatics is fully integrated in the Department's Master's program in Informatics which offers courses in both English or German. The program offers a large variety of courses, and allows you to focus your studies on your preferred areas.
You can specialize by choosing from the most important areas in Informatics:

* Artificial intelligence and robotics
* Computer graphics and image processing
* Computer architecture

You will attend lectures, lab courses and a seminar and you will participate in software development and research projects. Additionally, the curriculum covers an interdisciplinary project (in Mathematics, Medicine, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering), and soft skill courses.
Perspectives
The Master´s program in Informatics is research-oriented. It encourages and enables you to work independently according to high academic standards. It qualifies you for a PhD, for leading software development projects, and for executive positions in business and management.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
