It aims at bringing together a unique group of academic experts and practitioners from a wide array of national healthcare systems in order for the programme members to gain a firm understanding of current management concepts and to analyse, compare and contrast national healthcare systems world-wide and their implications for hospital and healthcare management.
Through residential modules in select relevant locations world-wide, the programme members will identify best-practices, develop a broad understanding of intercultural issues and build an international network of professionals leading the debate in developing the global healthcare and hospital sectors.
The International Hospital and Healthcare Management (MBA) has a strictly practical focus on Industry and Healthcare. The study programme lasts 18 months and may be completed while concurrently holding a job. It consists of eight residential modules of 8.5 class days each and two e-based modules which have been carefully tailored to one another and are held in different locations around the world. At the end, you will write your Master's thesis.

The graduates of the MBA-IHM understand current management concepts and will use them in their management tasks. They are able to implement problem solving processes in general as well as in hospital and healthcare management. In their work, they use quantitative methods and theories and are able to judge the outcome critically. Relevant data can be researched, interpreted, processed and presented. Through their stays in foreign countries, the graduates can analyse and compare different healthcare systems as well as judge and solve intercultural challenges.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
