This Masters degree prepares you for a successful career in accounting. If you are already in the workplace, it will meet your professional development needs, giving you the skills and knowledge to become a strategic accounting practitioner. You will examine real issues presented by leading practitioners from international accounting firms and develop critical appraisal skills and attitudes towards all types of business data. You will be taught by academic staff with extensive practical and academic knowledge, in a department rated ‘excellent’ for teaching quality.
To meet the needs of a diverse market, we offer two distinct ‘routes’. Route One is for those with a good Honours degree in a business-related discipline who want advanced accounting knowledge. It is also suitable if you have completed, or are exempt from, Part 1 (old scheme) or F1-F3 Fundamentals (2007 scheme) of the ACCA accounting qualification, and want to study a Masters qualification while working towards the next stage of your ACCA examinations.
Route Two is ideal if you have a good Honours degree in accounting or finance and want to expand your knowledge to a professional level. As an accredited ACCA Gold Provider, our expertise will ensure that you get the best possible preparation for the Association’s examination papers. However, If you do not want to pursue the ACCA qualification, you can study just the Masters programme.
