The MSc Engineering Design Innovation is a new route conversion course for graduate designers who are in full-time employment wish to gain the internationally recognised title of Chartered Engineer (CEng) but do not currently meet the academic requirements. It is generally accepted that professionals holding CEng status benefit from significantly improved careers prospects than their peers.
Whilst there are a number of ways to achieve academic requirements, it is becoming increasingly common that would-be Chartered Engineers will hold appropriate Masters Degree. This MSc has been developed in close consultation with the institution of Engineering Designers (IED), which is licensed by EC UK to assess individuals against a national standard for CEng recognition. The course is primarily targeted at design engineering graduates.
The block mode of delivery of this course avoids the candidate being away from work for a set period each week and provides a means by which employers can develop their staff with minimal disruption.
