This course focuses on developing the latest technical skills required to build effective, high quality, secure, active systems for the World Wide Web.

You explore web-based business solutions, evaluating competing business needs. You can expect to develop expertise in client and server side web development, and be able to produce applications relying on underlying network and database systems.

We also focus on professional project management, ethical and quality issues. This provides you with a broad and well-balanced perspective, preparing you for an exciting career in the industry.

We encourage you to build on any previous expertise, perhaps using it as a basis for particular projects or your dissertation. In addition to your own experience, you benefit by drawing on those of the teaching staff, their industry contacts and fellow students. This will give you a solid grounding to follow in the footsteps of previous students who have gained promotion, created their own businesses or progressed to research degrees.

You need not have a formal computing background to succeed, but you will need to be competent in using information technology, with an aptitude for developing high-level technical skills.

The running of individual programmes is dependent on the number of applicants.
