In today’s workplace the importance of psychology in occupational settings is becoming increasingly recognised.

Psychological theory is being applied ever more frequently in areas of staff selection and assessment, development and training, the management of organisational change, and occupational health.

The MSc programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society, covering the eight areas of knowledge needed for Level 1 Chartered Occupational Psychologist status.

The course also has a substantive consultancy, business and practitioner element that can be used in part for Level 2 Chartered Occupational Psychologist status. Level A and Level B certificates in occupational testing are included in the course fees.

The course develops students into employable occupational psychologists equipping them with the skills that are needed by employers.

The course begins with modules in professional practice and research methods. Students then follow the BPS Division of Occupational Psychology syllabus that applies psychology to organisations. The programme is then completed with an independent research dissertation.
