Automation Engineering - Number One in Austria
The increasing use of Automation Engineering in the design, production and operation of machineryand plant and for optimised management of industrial processes is an important factor in the continued competitiveness of Austrian industry. Automation Engineering is the driving force behind the well-established machine and plant construction segments of industry in Upper Austria and a core competence for economically-successful production and manufacturing processes of every kind.

Academic Profile
Graduates of this Master´s course can plan, construct and optimise machinery, plant and manufacturing/production processes and systems. They are also experts in measuring and regulation equipment and systems. These competences require understanding and mastery of state-of-the-art technologies such as image processing, simulation tools, robotics and handling technologies. Students choose one of three areas of specialisation: Plant Automation, Industrial IT or Sensors and Microsystems. Graduates are prepared for top management positions in the fields of Production, Quality Assurance, Research and Development and all related areas requiring inter-disciplinary skills.

* Mode of Study: Full-time or part-time
* Possible study times for part-time students: Friday afternoons and evenings,
* Saturdays, weekday evening blocked courses as required, distance-learning and e-learning course components
