Mechanical Engineering Development Engineer
An established subject with many modern trends
Mechanical Engineering is a tried and tested subject with many modern trends such as simulation, lightweight construction, bionics etc. The development of ever-lighter yet highly-stressed components in motor vehicles, aircraft or satellites as well as in the manufacturing and plant construction industries, requires the use of sophisticated, innovative calculation, simulation and analysis methods. The benefits achieved for society and the economy form the sustainable basis of our hi-tech world.

Academic Profile
Graduates of this course can develop and optimise machines and machine systems using the latest methods. The course focuses on computer-aided (numerical) simulation and experimental mechanical engineering testing methods. The mechatronic aspect of Mechanical Engineering, that is, the combination of mechanical and non-mechanical modules, is also considered in depth. Graduates can perform development, calculation, research and optimisation tasks independently and efficiently in various branches of industry.
