The Program
The Master of Science in Instructional Technology and Distance Education (ITDE) program provides skills in distance education, instructional media, instructional design, and training. It is designed for working professionals who wish to obtain positions of leadership in education and training skills and for those who wish to become instructional designers, trainers, e-learning specialists, and media professionals.
Primary Audience of this degree
Practicing professionals with background in teaching, administration, media specialist, information specialist, trainers (government, corporate, managers, and supervisors), instructional technologists, curriculum developers, staff development specialists, distance education program coordinators with basic experience in the use of instructional technology and/or distance education.

Admission Requirements and Application Instructions
a) Candidates holding an academic degree equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor Degree
b) Completed admission application packet, including $50 nonrefundable application fee made payable to Nova Southeastern University. Include with your application Official transcripts from all previously attended academic institutions. An official transcript indicating conferral of a bachelor´s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) is required for all students.

d) Applicants whose native language is not English are required to demonstrate English proficiency by providing proof of (1) a minimum score of 213 on the computer based 79-80 in the Internet-based or 550 on the paper based, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam, or (2) 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
Teaching methods
Blended-learning course with traditional lectures carried out with the assistance of multimedia teaching aids for introducing main topics, complemented by practical individual and group exercises, so that students can contextualize what they have learnt during the lessons. The course also implies the use of the e-learning platform and the virtual classroom adopted at UFP. Students access contents and activities through the login and password provided at enrolment. Therefore, there will be a constant interaction teacher/ student and student/student who will be in contact, regardless of geographical distances, based on the potentiality of the e-learning platform and the virtual classroom.
