Are you new to the business world or are you a seasoned professional? Regardless of your experience, the Ashridge Masters in Management will equip you with the practical skills to move your career to the next level. This qualification focuses on immediate practical application and will enable you to demonstrate insight and knowledge to your employer even while you are studying, through live assignments and case studies.
At Ashridge, we believe all learning must make a difference, be practical and be based on the real issues faced by companies, public sector organisations and individual managers. The Ashridge Masters in Management is designed to encourage managers to learn and develop more effective ways of thinking and to apply leading-edge management tools and concepts to their daily work.
The virtual nature of this programme enables participants to access it from anywhere in the world, at any time, and without the cost, environmental impact or inconvenience of travelling. It also means that the organisation does not suffer the cost of the employee’s absence for study for extended periods of time.
The program's resources are delivered through an easy to use, online virtual environment, which we call the Learning Zone. It’s packed full of learning material such as articles from thought leaders, material created especially for this qualification by Ashridge tutors, plus all the material usually available through the Ashridge Virtual Learning Resource Centre.
The Ashridge Masters in Management is a very flexible program with four entry points each year: in January, April, July and October. You can study for it in your own time at home or work and can exit the programme if you wish at the end of each stage, receiving the relevant stage qualification: certificate, diploma or masters in management.
The modules (People, Processes and Perspectives) can be completed in the order you wish at each stage meaning you can prioritise learning based on your needs.
The different organisation-based assignments and the Masters-level project ensure managers apply new thinking to real pressures or opportunities (often predetermined by the sponsoring organisation) and compel them to offer valuable, practical advice across their organisation. This is executive education with an enabling, practical focus, designed with organisational success in mind.
There are no examinations. Instead, the program is assessed by assignments and a project, which are all work-based. These work based assignments allow you to immediately apply your learning to make a measurable impact to your daily work and increase your knowledge of your organisation.
There are four possible start dates for each stage of the programme each year. In 2012, the start dates for the Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma are:
The Certificate and Diploma each take nine months to complete, meaning the fastest time in which the entire MSc can be completed is 24 months. However, our flexible approach means you can stop at the end of each stage and start the next stage at a later date if that suits you better.
