Takes you on to accelerated career advancement within the defence sector. The MBA programme will equip you to lead and influence the development of organisations in this rapidly evolving sector.
You will be taught by Cranfield University academic staff at the Defence Academy - College of Management and Technology and Cranfield School of Management who understand the challenges of translating theory into practice.
The MBA (Defence) programme is offered in partnership from Cranfield Defence and Security at Shrivenham and the School of Management at Cranfield. The programme is designed for military officers, civil service and defence industrial executives looking to contribute more effectively towards future military initiatives and is a development of the successful Association pf MBA's accredited (Masters in Defence Administration) programme, which was offered at our Shrivenham campus for nearly 20 years. It reflects a growing interest both within the UK defence sector and the international defence community for management education.
Part One
During this part of the programme, students take the School of Management’s MBA core modules, studying alongside students drawn from all sectors.
Part Two
In this part of the programme, students take four compulsory defence modules, select one defence elective from a choice of three and choose one general MBA elective theme. Students are also required to take appropriate elements of the School of Management’s Personal and Professional Development module, which serves as the backbone of the MBA programme. In addition, students complete a defence management independent research project.
All teaching takes place at the Cranfield campus in Bedfordshire. Part Two of the part-time option will be delivered on a modular basis.

Register Now!Normally a 1st or 2nd class UK Honours degree or equivalent, plus at least three years’ work experience. A lesser qualification with more work experience may be acceptable. GMAT minimum score of 600 (alternatively, it may be possible to take the Cranfield Admission Tests provided the candidate can come to Cranfield for interview). Students whose first language is not English must obtain an IELTS score of 7 or TOEFL score of 100 (internet test).
