The course aims to bring together the disciplines of business economics and finance in a form that will equip you with the skills necessary for positions of responsibility in national and international companies. The taught modules provide an in-depth knowledge of the theoretical and applied aspects of both business economics and finance as relevant to the needs of professional economists and managers. The research component introduces you to alternative research strategies and methodological issues, and provides training in the management and reporting of a research project in the area of business economics and finance.

Career opportunities

The course is of particular interest to graduates seeking careers in national and international companies. It will also be attractive to economists and managers already in employment wishing to update and expand their knowledge within the context of business in the global economy, the new economics of human resource management, the 'new' economy and the increasing relevance of finance. In addition, the course offers a good training for those wishing to pursue further research for a PhD in the areas of business economics and finance.
