This programme is intended to provide a selection of courses linked by a common European theme. As well as the courses covering topics linked directly to the EC, there is the opportunity to study private law topics which focus on the interaction between common law and civilian legal systems.

Students must complete four courses and a dissertation. At least three courses must be taken from the list below. The fourth course can be taken from a different LLM Programme. The number in brackets indicates the semester in which the course is taught.

Assessment is based on a combination of a written examination at the end of the relevant semester and a course essay or essays. In addition, students must complete a course in research methods and a dissertation on a topic within the specialism. Guidance on the writing of a dissertation is given.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
