The Diploma in Legal Practice (DLP) programme is taught, and is required, as a bridge qualification for entry to the legal profession in Scotland. The DLP programme aims to give an introduction to, and basic instruction in, the principal areas of legal practice in the private and public sector.

Teaching and learning on the programme is principally task-based, and performance of practical tasks, oral and written, is continuously assessed. Any examinations are of the open book type. Students must achieve a pass standard in all courses to qualify for award of the DLP.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
Take testA degree in law from a Scottish University or institution recognised for this purpose which must contain passes in qualifying areas of Scots Law including Conveyancing, Commercial Law and Commercial Organisations, Revenue Law and Evidence or passes which are recognised to be equivalent.
