This course is the final step towards professional certification in computer networking - successful completion of the course will enable you to design, build and maintain computer networks. The course is designed for those who already hold the CCNA qualification and have a certificate registration number with Cisco. London Metropolitan University was established as a "Cisco Regional Academy" in 1998, and is one of the very few places in the UK that has been certified by Cisco Systems to provide CCNP training in one of the most advanced CISCO training laboratories in the UK.

CCNP1, ROUTE: Implementing Cisco IP Routing
This course teaches students how to implement, monitor, and maintain routing services in an enterprise network. Students will learn how to plan, configure, and verify the implementation of complex enterprise LAN and WAN routing solutions, using a range of routing protocols. The course also covers the configuration of secure routing solutions to support branch offices and mobile workers. Comprehensive labs emphasize hands-on learning and practice to reinforce configuration skills.
Course Prerequisites: None. CCNA-level knowledge and skills required.
CCNP2, SWITCH: Implementing Cisco IP Switching
This course teaches students how to implement, monitor, and maintain switching in converged enterprise networks. Students will learn how to plan, configure, and verify the implementation of complex enterprise switching solutions using the Cisco Enterprise Campus Architecture. The course also covers the secure integration of VLANs, WLANs, voice, and video into campus networks. Comprehensive labs emphasize hands-on learning and practice to reinforce configuration skills.
Course Prerequisites: None. CCNA-level knowledge and skills required.
CCNP3, TSHOOT: Maintaining and Troubleshooting Cisco IP Networks
This course teaches students how to monitor and maintain complex, enterprise routed and switched IP networks. Skills learned include the planning and execution of regular network maintenance, as well as support and troubleshooting using technology-based processes and best practices, in a systematic and ITIL-compliant approach. Extensive labs emphasize hands-on learning and practice to reinforce troubleshooting techniques.
Course Prerequisites: Both CCNP ROUTE and CCNP SWITCH
Assessment
Continuous assessment methods include multiple-choice multiple-answer tests, a final on-line test, plus a practical skills examination for each semester. You must pass each semester before going on to the next one.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test.
