Synaptic transmission, neuronal firing: neuroscience is growing. Do basic or clinical research. Take tutorials and workshops in all aspect of the field, and go on to an academic or research career.
Erasmus is a top-ranked university with a strong tradition of research; Rotterdam, the bustling "gateway to Europe". Work in an ideal setting, with first-rate possibilities: the Neuroscience Institute of the Erasmus MC. Go for the chance to join the Exchange Honours Programme set up by EUR and the Free University of Amsterdam. Do basic research on one or more subfields: neurology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, neuro oncology, otolaryngology, psychiatry, or gerontology. Take workshops and get individual tutoring in such areas as neuro-anatomy, neurophysiology, molecular biology, psychology and psychiatry, and follow up with extensive research. Go on to a career in any basic or medical research areas in which neuroscience is on the rise.
