This is a collaborative programme between the School of the Arts and the Design School.
The 2D and 3D Visualisation programme aims to develop a broad approach to visualisation within an increasingly diverse and competitive market. It aims to provide you with opportunities to develop a personalised visual language with which to articulate an engagement with visual thinking. Visualisation through 2D and 3D drawing, modelling, prototyping, and computer-based activity is a focus and feature of teaching and research of the School of the Arts and the Design School at Loughborough University. The programme collaboratively delivers an interdisciplinary curriculum appropriate to a variety of external contexts and markets.
The programme consists of six modules spread across the calendar year (October to October). The modules provide a range of visualisation opportunities reflecting approaches to postgraduate research, visual thinking and communication, enquiry into, and development of, 2D and 3D visualisation techniques and a final project that enables you to professionally realise and present your outcomes. Outcomes will take the form of ‘portfolios’ of visualisation activity, oral presentations and written reports. The MA or MSc award will be dependent on the nature of the final project.
